Liv-ex 1000, in July the end-of-wine secondary market index grew by + 0.5%

Liv-ex 1000 continues to grow, the index of the indexes of the secondary market for fine wines, which recently updated its classification (which today has 349 wines from 9 countries, of which 39 are Italian, three of which in first tier, ie at a price higher than £ 2,877 in cash: (Bruno Giacosa Barolo Vigna Rocche Reserve at £ 5,923, Masseto at £ 5,517 and Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino Reserve at £ 3,583), and which, in July 2019, has marked a progress of + 0.5% on the month of June, with the two main sub-indices, the Liv-ex 100 and the Liv-ex 50, which show, and respectively, + 0.27% and the + 0.42% Better were Bordeaux Legends 50 (+ 0.75%), Burgundy 150 (+ 1.05%), Champagne 50 (+ 0.79%) and Rhone 100 (+0, 80%), but the Bordeaux 500 (+0,14%) and Italy 100 (+ 0.37%), while Rest of the World 50 closed at -0.98%.
Since the beginning of the year, however, the most performing index is that of the Italians, which grew by + 2.78%
 , while the wines of Burgundy, despite the recovery of July, marked the worst performance: -5.24%. At the same time, the volume of business of the bottles traded on the secondary market, exceeded for the first time the 70 million pounds, with a division of the exchanges in July that sees Bordeaux permanently in the lead (58.1%), Burgundy (21 , 8%), Italy (7.6%), Champagne (7.2%), Rhone (2.3%), Rest of the World (2%) and USA (1%).
Among the labels that go better, in terms of prices, at the top, the 2015 Chambertin by Armand Rousseau (+ 13.8%, at £ 26,636 in cash), François Lamarche’s Grande Rue 2015 (+ 13.7%, at 5,250 pounds), the Chateauneuf du Pape 2015 by Beaucastel ( + 8.1%, at 486 pounds), the Cristal 2009 by Louis Roederer (+ 7.6%, at 1,600 pounds) and the Chablis 2016 by Montée Tonnerre (+ 6.4%, at 2,096 pounds). Domaine Ponsot’s Clos Roche Vv 2016 (-7.2%, to £ 3,800 in cash), on the other hand, saw the Clos Clos 2016 by Domaine Clos Tart (-6.8%, at 4,769 pounds), the Vosne Romanée Beaumonts 2015 from Domaine Leroy (-5.1%, at 3,800 pounds), Yquem 2001 (-4.5%, at 3,800 pounds) and Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2009 (-4.4%, at 1,860 pounds).
